Borealonon!

Goodreads Book Review –

“The real magic, however, happens when Sam and Mel stumble upon a mysterious portal that leads them to the mystical world of Borealonon. Fitzpatrick crafts this new dimension with rich, vivid descriptions that feel both magical and haunting. From cave writings that speak of ancient creatures to shimmering lights dancing across crystal-laden rock walls, the world of Borealonon is filled with wonder and danger. The adventure quickly escalates, and Sam and Mel find themselves caught in a whirlwind of action, mystery, and peril as they uncover secrets that could change everything.”

Crabtree WINS International IMPACT Award!

When I was a little girl, my cousins, brother and I couldn’t wait for summer when we could go to our grandparent’s cabin on a lake. It was a captivating experience and a lot of fun, especially when we were preteens. One day we were quite adventurous and decided to take our flat-bottom boat to the “scary” far side of the lake where there were only dense trees.

When we got there, after rowing across the deep, dark abyss, we saw there was no dock and the tree branches hung all the way to the water. As we hiked through the thick brush we suddenly came across an old broken down cabin…

Everything inside was intriguing from dishes left haphazardly in the sink to a bookcase, but best of all were the picture albums of people who had lived there long ago. What was their story?

This experience became the backdrop and the inspiration for my book Crabtree: Lost Kids of Borealonon. Yesterday, I was truly blown away, shocked, and so very grateful that this Crabtree book was selected as a WINNER at the International IMPACT Book Awards!

Please check out our website and share it with your preteen children! We hope they love it!! 100% net profit goes to the Humanity Shines Organization and their Leaves on the Wind literary program.

New pre-teen book for kids!

Thirteen-year-old Sam, his twin sister Mel, and their parents have an opportunity to move to the “wild, wild west” and a mountain town in Washington State. Sam’s dad inherited a gold-rush era house from his uncle. While everyone else is excited about the move, Sam is devastated. He will miss his friends, his basketball team, and the skateboard park in West Virginia. Thinking of the worst-case scenario, no Internet, no cell service, no computer games, and nowhere to go, Sam has a terrible attitude problem as they make their way across the country in an SUV.

All he wants to do is escape to another universe – another dimension – another reality… And from there Sam and Mel slip into an adventurous, action-packed ride of perilous danger, unexplainable mystery, and utter amazement.

“Borealanon was like entering another dimension – where cave writings told stories of mysterious creatures and darkness confused our minds… until we saw a brilliant, glowing light above us cascading down, dancing through shimmering crystals like ribbons across the rock walls.” ~ Sam

Oranias was not bound,
By the thoughts of man,
She wore her crown above.
Her wind was Strength,
Her rain was Truth…
Oranias, the Goddess of Love.

~ Jane L. Fitzpatrick
